The Seiko SRPF77 is a Seiko Prospex Automatic Diver in the cushion-shaped case collectors call the “Turtle”, first introduced on Seiko's 1976 divers. It is a 200-meter diver's watch with a unidirectional bezel, screw-down crown and LumiBrite for low-light legibility.

This “Manta Ray” Special Edition features a dark gradient-blue wave-stamped dial with ceramic bezel. Inside is the Seiko caliber 4R36 automatic with hand-winding, hacking seconds, day/date display and about 41 hours of power reserve. You also get a 45mm case, sapphire crystal with date magnifier, 200m water resistance and silicone strap.

The SRPF77 is currently sold out online. Call any Chicago Clock showroom in Clarendon Hills (431 E Ogden Ave), Orland Park (14486 LaGrange Rd) and Palatine (1615 N Rand Rd) to ask about incoming stock or a comparable Seiko. We have been family-owned since 1917, and we service Seiko watches.

    FAQ

What movement is in the Seiko SRPF77?
The SRPF77 runs on the Seiko caliber 4R36 automatic with hand-winding, hacking seconds, day/date display and about 41 hours of power reserve.
Is the Seiko SRPF77 water resistant?
Yes. It carries a 200-meter diver's rating, so it handles swimming, snorkeling and recreational scuba. Keep the screw-down crown fully closed in the water.
Why do collectors call this Seiko a “Turtle”?
The nickname comes from the rounded cushion case first used on Seiko's 1976 divers, which looks like a turtle shell from the side. It is a collector nickname; Seiko lists these models as Prospex Automatic Divers.
Is the Seiko SRPF77 still available?
It is sold out at Chicago Clock right now. Call a showroom to check incoming stock. In-stock alternatives in the same family: SRPE05, SRPK01.
